Global Platform Organization (GPO)
The Wolters Kluwer Global Platform Organization (GPO) is charged with the acceleration of the time-to-market and innovation rate of Wolters Kluwer businesses, by leveraging both local and centralized innovations across the whole company.
GPO co-creates state-of-the-art products and solutions with Wolters Kluwer businesses around the globe, to serve professionals in the Legal, Tax, Health, Finance and Compliance sectors.
Our Lean Product Development approach, with a strong focus on customer insights and user experience, drives a growing array of solutions that support Wolters Kluwer business units in building their online customer-facing products. At the same time, GPO is continuously expanding its technology portfolio to include new capabilities, such as Artificial Intelligence technologies, search-as-a-service and predictive analytics. This ensures that Wolters Kluwer can rapidly assess industry and technology trends and respond strategically.
GPO is an interesting melting pot of junior and seasoned architects. Together, we develop innovative, reusable technology. What unites us, are our drive and passion for IT. We keep raising the bar – for ourselves and for each other. At GPO, you continue to develop in the way that works best for you.
The world is our playing field, in the projects we execute and in our team composition. You work with colleagues from all over the globe, which results in an interesting mix of cultures. We organize conferences, town halls, skip level meetings and technology sessions anywhere in the world, to share experiences, inspire each other and stimulate cooperation. A fascinating workplace for ambitious IT specialists who’ll never want to stop innovating.
"The standards are high in this international working environment"
Caroline Arkesteijn is Quality Assurance & Support Manager Product Solutions at GPO. She works in an international environment and regularly travels abroad to meet with colleagues. Her biggest challenge is to deliver enterprise-wide quality assurance (QA) standards, which is what she is currently involved in. Caroline has a lot of freedom at Wolters Kluwer. "Our culture is all about entrepreneurship. There is space for good ideas. Because the company is result-oriented, you have a lot of freedom to organize your own work. That flexibility encourages me to give my very best. I can see that in my colleagues, too. The standards are high, and we work hard. It is an inspiring working environment.”
